  • FALSE EXPECTATIONS: Being a Christian!  Faith in Jesus will change your life. He loves and accepts us as we are, but He also changes us from how we are! Listen today for guidance about how our expectations about our faith is more than a cliché!
  • HOLY COMMUNION TODAY.  As we celebrate this sacred meal today, please be sensitive to those around you by not talking with your neighbor during the communion time. Thanks for your sensitivity!



  • “THE STATION’s” GRAND OPENING IS MAY 4TH! WE NEED YOUR HELP!  Come join us as we celebrate the grand opening of our office. We’ll have our Spring picnic and a small ceremony to dedicate our new home. The community is invited too! Lots of games, food, and plenty of space to enjoy. See today’s insert and bring a friend! Picnic to start at 11:45 a.m. after service. If you are interested in helping on one of the clean up nights, please speak to Darryl or see our insert. If you are interested in volunteering to run one of the games, please contact Andrea Tolk at 339-2168.
  • LOOKING FOR “PORCH” CALLERS.  When you stop by one of our guests’ home for 3 minutes just to say, “Thanks for coming,” you leave a great impression of how much we care about them. Mark your card today for more information.
  • "THE STATION" — FINISHING TOUCHES!  Do you want our “station” to look great for our Grand Opening? We need help with painting some cabinets, final trim work, putting boxes away and so forth. If you can help, please mark your card today.



  • FEMININE FISHING AND TEA!  (Say what?) That’s right, the ladies have it good when the men prepare the fishing and food and the women can either fish or feast (but fishing is NOT required!) May 17, 2008 5:00-9:00 p.m.
  • PEBBLES AND STONES  … A children’s listening prayer group is being led by Meghan Hodgins from 8:30—9:15 am across from the nursery. If you would like to assist Meghan or want more information regarding it call her at 966-5744.
  • LIFE GROUP ANYONE?  If you are new to Chesapeake Community of Hope and are interested in a life group but don’t know where to start, contact Gene McCourt, our Life Group Minister at 558-0745.
  • JOIN US FOR REFRESHMENTS IN THE CAFETERIA  immediately before and after the service each Sunday. It’s a great time to touch base with others and get to know a new friend or two!



  • Our House Families’ Cinco De Mayo Fundraiser  Help support our partner by heading over to Plaza Azteca, May, 6th. From 5:00 p.m. -9:00 p.m., there will be a dinner hosted where a $25.00 ticket buys you dinner, entry to the auction and raffle. All proceeds go to Our House Families. What a great way to have dinner and make a difference!
  • Please hold on to your FARM FRESH Points receipts.  Next week during fellowship on our resource table there will be a box to collect these. Our church can earn rewards for the receipts that will help to add to our technology budgets. Thank you for your help!
